Hi new friends! For those of you that don’t know my name is Nikki or Nic to some. Just a quirky crafter who pours their heart and soul into every creation. I love to make and sell crocheted plushies, beaded jewelry, and sew numerous accessories.
I make and sell an abundance of items. Each piece is made with love and care; whether it’s a huggable cow, colorful earrings, or a formidable dragon. Come dive into my imagination and see what creations I make.
Little Simple things
A Little About How I Started
My crafting journey started when I was a kid. Since I could only check out ten books at a time, I needed to find a new hobby and that is where the crafting began.
At first, it was about making friendship bracelets, the fancy ones with letters. Crazy right?! This led to the creation of Noodle Doodle Custom Designs (I know, I know, it’s not the name you see but we are getting to that). Soon I started adding other crafts into my arsenal. Although I was inspired by two grandmothers and a great grandmother who crocheted blankets, when I tried to mimic what I had observed I soon found out that wasn’t for me. But Nikki don’t you crochet now? Yes, but I don’t make blankets.
Over the years and after many cup coasters (sorry mom) I found my niche, sort of. I made hats, bags, and even knit slippers. I finally started dabbling in other hobbies like sewing. Friendship bracelets have long been forgotten.
Name Change On The Horizon
Crafting Mom enters the crafty chat. My mom started doing crafty things, like embroidery and vinyl work. I brought her to the dark side and we became a mother daughter duo.
Due to our small business growing, we needed a revamp and became Mikki Moose Designs. As time went by we started doing craft shows, ventured into some woodworking, and maybe did some sketchy things on our porch (things may have caught on fire). As my crocheting picked up, I didn’t want it to overtake all the amazing things my mom and I created, leading to the creation of Stitched by Mikki Moose.
